Patricia Mckeon gives herself $40K

First off let me say thank you to all of my wonderful readers. Without you I couldn't possibly keep up with all the things going on out in the wide world of the Mckeons. I say that because today's story comes from one of those readers who sent me the following tip.

On December 30th, Patricia Mckeon made a $40k dollar donation to her own campaign. (Secretary of State Electronic report). This is an interesting revelation.

For two months her campaigner in chief, Bob Haueter, has been telling anyone who would listen that she would raise hundreds of thousands of dollars before the end of the year. If that is the case why then would she need to put $40k of her own money into her campaign at the last minute?

Generally speaking when candidates start to sink their own money into a campaign it is a sign of weakness. It shows they don't have the support of the people they are looking to represent. It is also a sign of trying to inflate campaign finance reports to show more cash on hand then is really there.

In the Mckeons case I suspect it's a bit (or a lot) of both. They needed the cash because they don't have any of the support locally that they were expecting. This despite the arm twisting and leg breaking that has been going on by Bob Haueter on patricia behalf. But since they had been bragging for months that they would raise large amounts of cash they couldn't end the year showing weakness. Since most people don't look at the reports they figured they could get away with sinking some their own money in and no one would be the wiser.

Well, unfortunately for them it's been seen now.

Remember this when you see them releasing stories about how they raised $100k. It's simply not true. The reality is that $40k will never get spent. They can't afford to spend it. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if they haven't started refunding it back to Patricia already.

Giving yourself a $40k donation is a pretty big sign of desperation.

Really Patricia?
