Mckeons Pressure Tony Strickland

I got home from work tonight and saw this article in the Signal: Wilk ‘releases’ Strickland from endorsement. My first thought was how strange this was. Then I began to realize the dirty politics at play here. At face value you may not understand why this is a Mckeon political move, but you have to know a few things then follow a timeline to see what brought this about.
  • Tony Strickalnd is the California chairman for Mitt Romney's campaign.
  • Bob Haueter, Mckeon Chief of Staff, is LA County chair for Romney.
  • Lynn Haueter, wife of Bob and LA County RPLAC chair, works in Tony Strickland's office.
  • All three of the above spent the week before the New Hampshire primaries in the state campaigning together for Romney.
  • Just as a side note Buck Mckeon is a huge Romney backer.
So those are some background facts to set up the following timeline.
  • Week of 1/9/12 - Strickland and the Haueter's spend the week in New Hampshire together almost 24/7.
  • Same week - Elton Gallegly announces retirement from congress. This paves the way for Strickland to run, an idea he has been contemplating for some time.
  • Week of 1/16/12 - Strickland announces campaign for congress.
  • This week - Wilk announces he has "released" Strickland from endorsement so it doesn't hinder his congressional campaign. In reality I doubt this was Wilk's choice and was just given to him as an option so that the headline didn't read "Strickland pulls support from Wilk."
What could Strickland's endorsement of Wilk possibly do to hinder his campaign for congress? Two words: Buck Mckeon. Dave Bossert at the West Ranch beacon notes that Strickland was put under intense political pressure from "Republicans." That means what I've already pointed out: Buck Mckeon.

Buck Mckeon, either personally or via Bob Haueter, threatened Strickland with holding off money/support/whatever else from Washington if he didn't back off his support of Wilk. As I've already chronicled, Buck Mckeon is a horrible congressman, but he is an excellent pickpocket and knows how to bring in boat loads of cash. I have a feeling that he either threatened to shut Strickland off from the money he needed or conversely promised him a lot of money from Buck's donors.

This says a lot about Mckeon and how he has stayed in Washington for 20 years. he coerces and extorts support out other members of congress and other politicians with money. Money he doesn't earn. Money he takes from special interests. Money he pockets himself.

In general it's a sad statement on our political system and an even sadder statement on Mckeon character and values.

Really Patricia?
